I was the lonely shy kid who never really said much in school. I walked in fear and insecurity. I did go to church but mostly on holidays. And when I did, I misbehaved with my two other brothers, or often stared off into space completely bored and wondering when it was going to be over. I was invited to a friend’s church and honestly my first question was, “Do you have any good looking girls there?” He said yes, then I said yes I’d go. I heard the Bible explained for the first time and couldn’t get enough of it.

In 1985, God completely turned my life upside down then right side up by saving me and forgiving my sin through the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has helped me overcome fears and has given me grace to walk in faith and confidence in him. My life since has been a pursuit of trying to live vertically - For the honor of God’s name, fame and glory.

Several years ago, God showed me that my life mission would be lived out pastoring His church and leading people into a vibrant growing relationship with Jesus and His mission for their lives. That calling eventually led me in 2022 to York Street Baptist and to the wonderful people I get to do life and ministry with today.
